The tax legislation is complex and always changing and the ATO is seeking to actively engage with taxpayers on tax matters. At Maxim we deliver a truly hands on approach as we work closely with our clients. This enables me to effectively uitlise my experience and knowledge so as to achieve the best outcomes for our clients and at the same time to proactively manage any potential tax risks.
Shirley qualified as a Chartered Accountant after completing her training in the audit division of KMPG, Cape Town. She then chose to specialize in taxation and completed a B.Com (Honours) in Taxation, and more recently the Master of Tax qualification offered by the University of Melbourne.
Shirley’s taxation experience includes SME’s, private groups and corporates including mining and exploration companies and has been enhanced by her roles in Perth within the Big4, a specialised tax consulting practice and as the tax manager for an ASX
Shirley assists clients to develop effective tax solutions and prides herself in providing superior client service to assist clients to navigate and comply with ever changing and complex tax legislation.
Shirley is married with 2 children, and enjoys being involved with her children’s sporting and other activities.
